Hi all, I can`t believe it is going to be the start of the 2026/27 season next week! That will be 20 years since my first proper attempts at fishing for barbel!! I hope you are all looking forward to the new season and getting a bend in the rod as much as I still am.
I am happy to report that I still run the Bransford Angling & Conservation Group at Bransford on the river Teme. This has a mile of prime river Teme fishing and a couple of lakes too.
Along side this, I have now been a part of the river Severn barbel and chub movement studies for the last 10 years. We have had some very interesting findings and are constantly learning new things.
For guided barbel, and angling coaching days, I have good access & experience of many rivers including the Wye, Teme, Severn, Wavon, and Southern rivers. This keeps me fairly busy now throughout the season.
If anyone would like to join me for one or two of these days, I`d be happy to arrange something for us, just contact me via the various modern means and those contact details on the “coaching” page. I do still have a few places available to book in the summer and autumn months, so please do feel free to contact me for mutually convenient days and dates!!
Good luck for the new season!
Tight lines and see you all soon..
