Coaching

Having helped many family and friends to catch some special fish, I am now looking to help everyone in some shape or form to catch the ‘special one’. Whether you are an angler with many years experience looking for different ideas and approaches or a novice starter learning to read the river, we can design a day around you.

The options we can offer are limitless, so we ask that you contact us on; Tel – 07947130012 or E-mail shaun@fishingforbarbel.com for specific quotations, but here is an example:- Dependent upon the time of year (length of day), Destination (permits) and Location (travel cost);

• Full Day Sessions start from approx – £150pp / £225 Two persons plus.Obviously with so many variables, the cost will be tailored to each session. I look forward to our meeting on the riverbank….

  • New for April, May and early June – “Walk, Talk, & Stalk” A chance to at least have a look and talk fishing even if you can`t wet a line! You will almost certainly have the chance to watch barbel and chub in their natural environment. Just contact me for more details…
  • We also provide half day sessions,  please contact us for further details and a personalised quote.

  2. I’m looking to buy a birthday present for my son. Do you do 1 day sessions to fish barbel on the river Wye or some other river in Wales or the borders? Also, what cost and do you provide gift vouchers?

  3. Hi
    I’m looking for the best stretches of The Bristol Avon, for catching barbel.
    I’ve mainly be concentrating on Amalgamation waters, catching the odd one.

    • Hi Martin,thanks for getting in touch, they have many of the best waters including Lacock, the odd one per session is pretty good! It`s also well worth trying on Chippenham ac waters, you can get tickets from “Premier angling” in Keynsham or Chippenham. Good luck in your quest for more BA barbel! Don`t hesitate to ask if I can be of any further help.
      Tight lines..

  4. Hi Shaun
    I’ve not managed to catch any barbel at Lacock this season.
    I was wondering how much it would cost to meet you there, to point out areas ,to best have a chance of catching.
